KENNESAW, GA — An 18-year-old Kennesaw State University student faces charges after police say she had a gun in her dorm room.

An arrest warrant from KSU police says Makayla Phillips is also charged with obstructing officers after she is accused of going into her room and refusing to come out while they waited for a search warrant.

She was eventually arrested.

Police say they recovered a nine millimeter handgun.
