Georgia confirms first case of measles in 2026

SOUTH GEORGIA — Georgia confirms its first case of measles this year.

According to the Georgia State Department of Public Health, it was a baby not old enough to be vaccinated.

The child who lives in south Georgia got measles while traveling internationally.

The department of health is working to identify those who may have come in contact with the baby.
