ATLANTA — Atlanta Public Schools confirms Friday morning that a weapon was found in the bookbag of a student at Booker T. Washington High School.
It was discovered as the student was passing through the school’s new E-VOLV weapon detection system.
The weapon was confiscated by school administrators and the school resource officer.
The student was arrested and taken away from campus.
That student is now facing criminal and administrative/school charges.
No one was injured in the incident.
