NEWTON COUNTY, GA — A north Georgia teen is facing charges after being accused of making online threats against another student.

The Newton County Sheriff’s Office says a student at the Newton College and Career Academy faces charges of interfering with school operations and making terroristic threats and acts.

Officials say the case will be handled by the juvenile court system.

The FBI and GBI assisted in the investigation.
