Falcons fire assistant coach amid sexual assault allegations

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons have fired an assistant coach amid sexual assault allegations.

The team announced the dismissal of LaTroy Lewis on Friday.

“The Atlanta Falcons have dismissed assistant defensive line coach LaTroy Lewis from his role,” the team said in a statement.

The coach had been hired as an assistant defensive line coach on Feb. 10 just over two weeks ago. He spent the 2024–25 season as defensive line coach at the University of Toledo.
