SMYRNA, GA — Smyrna police say they used their real-time crime center to track down a suspect wanted for a deadly hit-and-run over the weekend.

The driver, Ha-Fet Cruz, told investigators he didn’t know what he hit on Saturday evening on South Cobb Drive near Concord Road.

Cruz was charged with homicide by vehicle and hit and run.

The victim, identified as Rickey Woolf, was not in a crosswalk, according to police.
