BROOKHAVEN, GA — Three people in the United States illegally from Mexico have been accused of operating a meth conversion lab in Brookhaven.

The U.S. Attorney in Atlanta says the lab was operating in a backyard, in close proximity to families and children.

The suspects are accused of trafficking more than a ton of methamphetamine.

The names of the suspects were not released.
