Delta is the TENTH hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. this season. Wow. And Delta is hitting only miles away from where Cat 4 Laura hit where people have not yet recovered from that storm.
For Atlanta neither weekend day will be a washout with gaps in the rain.
Looks like TWO periods of MOST WIDESPREAD rain will be late Friday night to early Saturday morning, then again Saturday overnight. More hit or miss showers for all other time frames. A damaging thunderstorm can not be ruled out especially Saturday night and Sunday.
Next week looks mostly dry and warm, but another blast of Autumn air arrives next weekend and beyond, with below-normal temperatures on average Oct 16-22.
