Georgia Softball leaves Florida on high note, Jayda Kearney homers twice in road victory

Jayda Kearney hit two home runs to help lift Georgia softball over Florida by an 8-2 count on Sunday afternoon in Gainesville.

The Bulldogs (33-10, 12-5 SEC) avoided a sweep at the hands of the Gators (31-11, 8-7) with the victory at Florida’s $15 million renovated stadium.

Madison Kerpics (13-5) and Shelby Walters (4th save) split time in the circle, getting errorless defense behind them after the No. 12-ranked Bulldogs committed five infield errors in the first two games of the series.
