Baseball: Schedule Change For Georgia-USC Series

ATHENS-----Due to inclement weather, the Georgia-South Carolina Southeastern Conference baseball series in Athens at Foley Field now will begin Saturday with a doubleheader at 2 p.m.

Saturday’s schedule will feature a pair of nine-inning games, and the NCAA/SEC’s 10-run will be in effect where a game would be called after seven innings if a team is ahead by 10 or more runs.

Fans holding tickets for Saturday’s game will be admitted to the first game of the doubleheader only as the stadium will be cleared between games. Fans with tickets for Friday’s game will be admitted only to the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader which will start an hour after the first game of the day concludes.

Saturday’s doubleheader will be streamed on SECN+. Sunday’s 3 p.m. contest will be televised by the SEC Network. All games are available on the Georgia Bulldog Sports Network.

Georgia opens SEC action with a 13-4 mark while No. 14 South Carolina is 17-1 and riding an eight-game winning streak.
