Athens, Ga - Your long wait between the end of the colege football season and spring practice is now a bit more clear.
The University of Georgia announced its spring football practice schedule this morning, with a start date of March 15th. That's one week after UGA students return to Athens from spring break, which in the past the Bulldogs have been known to begin a couple days before spring break to allow for extra coaches meetings.
G-Day will be April 16th at 4 p.m., as previously announced, making up the final practice of the spring. In the final years of the Mark Richt regime, Georgia scheduled a couple practices after the intrasquad scrimmage to assess and address issues in the game. Not the case this year.
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, March 15
Thursday, March 17
Saturday, March 19
Tuesday, March 22
Thursday, March 24 (also Coaching Clinic)
Friday, March 25 (also Coaching Clinic)
Tuesday, March 29
Thursday, March 31
Saturday, April 2
Tuesday, April 5
Thursday, April 7
Saturday, April 9
Tuesday, April 12
