Q: My Rose of Sharon was sprouting green leaves, but now they’re brown. What do I do?

A: Just after the March freeze, mine did the very same thing. Let Mother Nature take care of them. More new growth will push those crunchy leaves off the plant. Same with some others, like loropetalum and tea olive.

And if you hadn’t already pruned the Rose of Sharon earlier this winter, I wouldn’t now.
