Graduation is great until someone gets shot.
Two people were injured in Riverdale after police say someone opened fire during a graduation party early Saturday morning.
The shooting happened on Webb Road near I-85. Police say it began when two males wandered to the nearby Sutter Lake apartments after a large graduation party wound down.
"They encountered some females and began a conversation according to witnesses account. During that conversation, the driver of the vehicle noticed a male subject brandishing a weapon approaching the vehicle," said Clayton County police officer Clarence Cox.
And that’s when it got out of hand.
"The subject approached the vehicle and fired shots into the vehicle, wounding two passengers of the vehicle," Cox said.
Police said the driver of the car and the front-seat passenger were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital.
So far, no arrests have been made.
