Atlanta Police Department was called out to a shooting around 5 p.m. at an apartment complex near 3000 Continental Colony Parkway, according to WSB-TV.

Police said two people were pronounced dead at the scene and multiple others were taken to the hospital. According to WSB-TV, it is unclear how many people are injured because some victims were taken by private cars to the hospital.

APD Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. in a news conference Saturday night identified the deceased as a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy who both died at the scene. He confirmed that three of the injured included a 15-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old boy.

Hampton said what investigators know so far is that there was some kind of dispute on social media. He said that the dispute escalated to a shooting. A group of people with guns showed up to the apartment and reportedly, the other group already there had weapons as well.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
