There were only minor injuries from an early Sunday morning accident on I-85 South in Gwinnett County.

The crash, south of Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, involved a tractor trailer and smaller truck before 5 a.m. Gwinnett County fire crews arrived to find heavy flames from the wreckage of both trucks. Both drivers were out of their vehicles – one treated at the scene, the other taken to a local hospital.

I-85 southbound lanes between Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Pleasantdale Road were shut down for an extended time.
