It's an about-face by the V.A. on Christmas caroling.
The Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta will again allow children's choirs to perform religious Christmas carols for patients during the holidays.
In December, students from a private Christian school were told they could only sing pre-approved carols in the chapel because the hospital did not want to offend non-religious patients. The kids left without singing at all.
The incident provoked an uproar reaching Capitol Hill and triggered talk of a lawsuit.
The Augusta Chronicle reports the hospital director's apologized for the misunderstanding. Bob Hamilton invites carolers to sing any carols they want to patients this coming holiday season.
