Sandy Springs will go ahead with the building of a new city hall complex at Roswell and Johnson Ferry Roads.

Some business owners aren't happy with the city's plans to transform an old Target and the surrounding land into a new city hall complex.   Ertan Makara owns a restaurant that will now have to relocate.

"I'm trying to see my options.  Right now I don't know where I am, because I don't know how much is going to be settled on, how much we are going to get," said Makara.

He tells Channel 2 Action News he's put a lot into his restaurant and it has been doing well at this location.

Mayor Eva Galambos says it is a prime location for a bustling city center.

"We now have the site and we're gonna go full-speed ahead," said Galambos.

Some businesses say they will sue if Sandy Springs tries to force them out.  The city purchased the Target for $8 million and is in the process of buying the land around it.

Galambos says having it at this location will be best for a vibrant city center.

"The municipal complex is the jump starter to redevelop downtown Sandy Springs," said Galambos.
