The Democratic nominee for president and his wife will make separate trips to Georgia as the final full week ahead of Election Day begins.

On Monday, Dr. Jill Biden will make campaign stops in Macon and Savannah. Former vice president Joe Biden follows on Tuesday with a stop in Warm Springs in the afternoon, and then a drive-in evening event in Atlanta.

The Biden visits come as Georgia is showing a tight race between Biden and President Trump. Polling a few weeks ago showed Biden with a slight edge. But recent surveys by Channel 2 Action News/Landmark Communications now show Mr. Trump expanding his lead.

The latest poll of 500 likely voters (Oct 21) had the president drawing 49% of support to Biden’s 45%. Roughly 4% of the Georgia voters polled were undecided.
