The Pink Pony will stay in business, but it'll cost the DeKalb County strip club some serious money.

The Pony reached a deal with the Brookhaven city council, allowing it to not only keep its doors open, but also allow it to continue serving alcohol for the next six years.

Under the deal, the Pink Pony must pay the Brookhaven Police Department $225,000 per year for public safety.

It must also donate land for a city park along Peachtree Creek and give up to $75,000 for that park.

Finally, it must reimburse the city for legal fees spent during this tug-of-war between the two sides.

They had been fighting for over a month, after the city looked to shut down the Pony's alcohol sales, under a city ordinance cracking down on sexually oriented businesses.

One councilwoman who wanted to shut down the club calls the deal a payoff to look the other way.

But other officials say it's a win for the county. Not only does it get their legal fees paid, but city ordinances are still in effect for any future strip clubs in Brookhaven.
