Reporter, photographer killed after being shot on live TV

A reporter, photographer and a person being interview come under fire live on air during a morning newscast.

The journalists were killed and now the coworkers at WDBJ are mourning their loss.

It was confirmed by WDBJ station management that reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward were the victims.

Paker recently turned 24. She is from Martinsville, Virginia and attended Patrick Henry Community College and James Madison University, WDBJ reported.

Ward was 27 and graduated from Salem High School and Virgina Tech.

Police near Roanoke, Virginia are searching for the person who opened fire live on air, WSLS reported.

The shots were caught on live on air during an interview around 6:45 a.m.

The woman who they were interviewing was wounded and is in surgery.
