TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — Two tigers that escaped from a west Georgia zoo after a tornado on Sunday have been recaptured, officials said.

Troup County Sheriff officials said they received a report that a tiger was unaccounted for at the Pine Mountain Animal Safari park after a confirmed tornado tore through Troup County.

The tornado downed trees, damaged buildings and left people trapped in their homes Sunday morning.

It’s unclear how many people were injured in the storms. Crews are still working on getting to people who are trapped.

The park has not provided comment online regarding the tiger’s disappearance.
