It was a 90-year old pine tree and when it fell, it landed right on the top of a woman’s car as she was driving northbound on Clifton Road near Emory University.
The woman’s screams woke up nearby neighbors who rushed to help.
“This man said, ‘Calm down, calm down,’ and he asked her to shut off the car,” one neighbor told Channel 2 Action News.
It took firefighters some time to cut the woman out of her crushed car. She was rushed to Grady Hospital as the huge tree was cut up and removed from Clifton Road and power crews worked to mend downed wires.
