Authorities are investigating a crash involving a train and a car in Norcross.

Norcross police said the accident happened near Holcomb Bridge Road and Thrasher Street around 6 p.m.

Firefighters extricated one adult patient from the car and transported the patient to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.

The patient was conscious, alert and breathing, according to police.

There were no other injuries reported and no one else was in the vehicle.

There is reportedly no compromise to the train according to railroad officials.
