HALL COUNTY, GA — A second grader brought a gun to school in Hall County Thursday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials say the 8-year-old boy showed the gun to a classmate at Myers Elementary School. That child told a teacher, who immediately notified the principal.

The sheriff’s office says the gun was loaded but did not have a round in the chamber.

An investigation is underway.
