Police are looking for the robber who repeatedly stabbed an employee of a Marietta pawn shop Saturday morning.

The attack happened as the employee was opening the Hock Shop on Cobb Parkway North just after 10:00 a.m.  The two men apparently struggled, and the robber left a wig and knit cap behind.  The victim underwent surgery at Kennestone Hospital for critical injuries.

In a rare move, Marietta police have allowed the media to video the crime scene of a brutal stabbing from this weekend.  Detective Matthew Parker says they are hoping the video will alert people about the crime.

"It helps us with the severity of this incident, makes the people around here aware there is somebody out there that is capable of doing something this heineous," said Parker.

He says the suspect may have been wounded in the attack.  Anyone who knows someone with fresh bites marks should call Marietta police.

The suspect is described as a thin black male, about 5 foot 6, wearing a dark blue hoodie and blue jeans.
