Customer shot after suspect opens fire into McDonald’s in DeKalb County, witnesses say

One person shot at McDonalds in DeKalb County, police investigating

One person was shot inside a busy McDonald’s location in DeKalb County on Monday.

The shooting happened near the 2600 block of Wesley Chapel Rd. around 2 p.m.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene and saw a window of the McDonald’s shattered.

WSB′s Tyisha Fernandes learned a customer inside the McDonald’s during the shooting was struck by a bullet in the side.

Witnesses told WSB that they believe the shooting happened after an argument started among three men inside the restaurant. One of the men left and walked outside and started to fire shots into the restaurant.

Details are limited, but police told WSB that the victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police have not released the victim’s identity and condition, and have not said if that person was involved in the argument or was just an innocent bystander.
