Composite sketches of alleged rape suspects won't lead to any arrests in Smyrna.

The only arrest in the reported kidnapping and sexual assault of a Marietta woman has been the woman herself. Smyrna police now say 32-year-old Jennifer Shipley lied about the incident. She's now being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center charged with one count of False Statements.

On February 15, Smyrna police released the sketches of two men believed to have kidnapped Shipley in January while she was walking along Windy Hill Road near South Cobb Drive. She told police the two men forced her into a 1990's gold Chevrolet Caprice at gun point. Shipley claimed to have then been taken to an unknown location, where she says she was beaten and sexually assaulted before being released two days later.

After further investigation, detectives say they have now obtained evidence showing Shipley's story was falsified.
