Person sought in East Jackson bomb scare

Person sought in East Jackson bomb scare Bomb sniffing dogs from the University of Georgia (similar to the one above) combed the school looking for explosives.

Jackson County sheriff's deputies are trying to track down the person who scrolled a bomb threat at a high school in Jefferson.

The message, found on a girl's restroom wall, claimed a bomb would go off at East Jackson Comprehensive High School Wednesday.

It led to the evacuation of all students to the football stadium. Bomb sniffing dogs from the University of Georgia combed the school, and sheriff's departments in Habersham, Rabun and Hall Counties helped look for explosives.

No bomb was ever found.

The interruption came during the final day of the CRCT. Students were finally allowed back into the school after about two hours.
