FULTON COUNTY, GA — The Fulton County School District plans to cut roughly 40 central office positions beginning this month.
Officials say the reductions are part of a broader strategy to balance the budget while protecting school-based services and classroom instruction.
The district estimates the cuts will save about $4.8 million in the 2027 budget.
Officials say the impacted employees will have the opportunity to apply for other open positions within the school district.
