LONDON — The Atlanta Falcons are flying overseas this season to play a regular season game in London.

The Falcons announced Wednesday they will face off with the Jacksonville Jaguars at iconic Wembley Stadium on Oct. 1. Jacksonville will be the home team in this matchup, meaning the Falcons won’t lose any home games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

This will mark the third time the Falcons have traveled to London for a regular season game.

In 2014, the Falcons lost 22-21 to the Detroit Lions in their first-ever London game, and then in 2021, the team defeated the New York Jets 27-20.

The NFL first sent teams over to London in 2007 and has also started sending teams to Mexico and Germany for regular season games.

The entirety of the Falcons’ 2023 schedule will be released on Thursday.

Atlanta will host the following teams at home: Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Washington Commanders.
