Life threatening injuries in Pappedeaux shooting

Scene at Pappadeaux Norcross

A shooting occurred in the back parking lot of Pappadeaux’s restaurant in Norcross, but according to police there was no connection.

“It appears this could have happened in any parking lot in Norcross, it just so happens that they came in here,” says Norcross police chief Warren Summers. “We just know from the witnesses that two cars came in, and there was exchange of gunfire.”

Summers said that the victim was shot at least twice and ran around the front of the restaurant to ask someone to call for help.

“I called 911,” said Joann Thomas, a hostess at the establishment. “Once he got over to the side of the door, and laid down, he was going in and out of consciousness. I tried to talk to him to let him know that someone was on their way.”

The victim is said to have life threatening injuries and the suspect is at large. Both identities of those involved are unknown. Officials are also unsure of what the motive was in this situation.
