JCPenney hosting job fair to hire 1,700 seasonal workers in metro Atlanta

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A local department store is hiring 1,700 workers to help with the upcoming holiday season. JCPenney is hiring workers at its supply chain facility in metro Atlanta.

The company will hold a hiring event Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JCPenney Logistics Facility off 120 Penney Road in Forest Park.

JCPenney will be conducting in-person interviews and will be making offers on the spot.

For Wednesday’s hiring event, all candidates must wear masks and observe social distancing rules. They will also have to complete a temperature check and COVID-19 wellness screening.

The 1,700 positions are supply chain jobs that will be responsible for handling the stocking, packing, unpacking and assembling merchandise.

JCPenney says anyone who is interested can apply online at jcpcareers.com or at kiosks inside the facility before attending the event.
