LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A Sunday afternoon fire at one Lawrenceville home quickly spelled danger for three homes.
Firefighters were called to 200 block of Camden Park Drive SW just before 1 p.m., but before crews could arrive on the scene, the fire began to spread to the homes to the left and right.
When crews arrived, they could see flames coming from the roof of the two-story home. The family told crews they managed to get all five adults and two children out safely.

Firefighters evacuated four adults and five children from both neighboring houses and searched them both in case the fire continued spreading.
Crews were able to get the bulk of the fire put out within 30 minutes.
Because the floors, attic and exterior walls, firefighters could not conduct a proper search of the home.
It took 35 firefighters an hour to get the fire under control.

The first home was determined to be a total loss. The other two houses suffered moderate damage.
No one was injured.
Fire officials say the fire started in a back wall of the home, but the cause is still under investigation.
