ATLANTA — The Georgia Tech Research Corporation (GTRC) will pay $875,000 over allegations it failed to meet cybersecurity requirements on several defense contracts.
According to the Justice Department, GTRC did not install anti-virus tools on computers and networks while conducting sensitive research for the Defense Department. The corporation is also accused of lying about its cybersecurity score.
As part of the settlement, two whistleblowers will receive more than $200,000.
