MORGAN COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia officials are preparing parts of a Georgia state park to take in future coronavirus patients.
Gov. Brian Kemp says state officials have identified Hard Labor Creek State Park in Morgan County for potential use of isolating and monitoring patients.
This move is being made “out of an abundance of caution,” according to the governor’s office.
No patients are currently scheduled to be transferred to the location.

Officials have already delivered and installed seven emergency trailers at the park.
“To prevent the disruption of ongoing operations, access to this specific part of Hard Labor Creek State Park is strictly limited to official use,” the governor’s office said in a release.
Kemp is expected to hold a news conference on coronavirus later Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.
