Ga. family searches for stolen bulldog who could be ‘anywhere in the country’

Bee the Bulldog (Kyle Osborne)

BLECKLEY COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia family is looking for a dog who state rescue officials say was given away as a stray.

According to a Facebook post from Dublin Laurens County Humane Society, Bee the Bulldog was stolen on Wednesday between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

It is unclear how Bee was stolen from her family.

Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. said Bee was picked up as a stray and was dropped off somewhere in the area of Hollingsworth and Vose in Hawkinsville.

One of her owners, Kyle Osborne, posted on Facebook a witness told him she was seen being given to a female truck driver on Thursday. The driver works for a company based in Savannah.

After that truck driver was tracked down, Bee’s family was told she was given to another truck driver; however, it is unclear where the driver was headed.

“My dog could be anywhere in the country by now,” Osborne wrote on Facebook.

It is unclear why Bee was given to the other truck driver.

Anyone with information regarding Bee’s whereabouts is asked to call the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office at 478-934-4545.
