Fulton County, GA-  Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts is introducing legislation calling on state and federal officials to ban the sale of assault weapons and tighten restrictions on all gun sales.

“It’s time to act,” Pitts said. “The young people are crying out for help and to sit on the sidelines and do nothing is not acceptable anymore.”

Pitts praised Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart for making changes to their gun sale policies and he hopes other companies will follow their lead.

“This is a time for leaders in government and business to come together for action,” Pitts said. “Young people are watching and waiting.”
