Forsyth County authorities have arrested a man on numerous sex charges, including child molestation.

Captain Tim House with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office tells WSB a months-long investigation revealed that 31-year-old Brendan Spaar posed as a female South Forsyth High School student on Facebook in an effort to attract young boys.

"He would entice them to send him photographs of themselves nude or in some kind of sexually explicit position, and then he would reciprocate by sending them the same kind of photographs back," said House.

House says Spaar is one of the first cases in Forsyth County being prosecuted under the new child molestation law.

"Under the new law that came out, if you electronically transmit sexually explicit images of a child under 16, we can charge you with child molestation," said House.

Spaar has been tried with four counts of child molestation, four counts of sexual exploitation of children, and three counts of computer pornography.

House says they know of four victims. Police are asking anyone else who may have been a victim to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office at 678-513-5982.
