The family of a 21-year-old woman who was hit and killed while trying to change a flat tire along Interstate 75 is now trying to raise money so they can bury her in her native home of Brazil.

Marietta police said Eduarda Cristina Romano DaSilva, 21, had pulled over to check on her tire when she was rear-ended by another driver and run over.

The other driver, identified as 59-year-old Victor Parra, was “ripped” from their car in the impact and was also run over by another car. Both Parra and Romana DaSilva died on the scene.

DaSilva’s family has set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for her funeral expenses.

“The family is wanting to send her to Brazil and is in need of financial support. Please pray for the family,” the organizers of the account said in a post on the page.
