Law enforcement officers in south Georgia are investigating an Atlanta-area school administrator on child molestation charges.

The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call on June 26 from a mother who said her teenage son left their home, met a man who was in town on business from Atlanta at a motel in Moultrie, had sex with him and then returned home.

Investigators learned that the motel room was rented out to 46-year-old Ereco Maddox of Marietta.

Witnesses at the motel described the vehicle Maddox was seen driving. A deputy who was patrolling the area around the home before they received the call described seeing a similar vehicle in the area. The mother also reported seeing a similar vehicle drive by her house slowly while she searched for her son.
