WOODSTOCK — A break for taxpayers in the city of Woodstock. The city council approves what it calls a historic tax decrease for property owners.
For the average Woodstock homeowner, the rollback rate would mean a property tax bill of about $760 on a $368,000 home or a little more than a thousand dollars on a half-million dollar property.
Mayor Michael Caldwell says this would be the lowest tax rate Woodstock has had in at least 30 years.
