City of Atlanta opening cooling center as temperatures heat up

ATLANTA, GA — With temperatures soaring this week, the city of Atlanta is opening a cooling center.

It opened Monday and closes at 6:00 p.m.

As temperatures may be even hotter Tuesday, the center will reopen at 11:00 a.m.

The cooling center is located at Selena S. Butler Park.

Bottled water will be provided to residents at the cooling center.
