GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police said they’re searching for a man accused of shooting and killing a woman early this morning.

The shooting happened at a home on 2622 Gloster Mill Drive in Lawrenceville around 4:30 a.m.

Police said they found a woman dead on the floor in the house. Her name or age has not yet been released.

Police said 45-year-old Corey Dowell is the suspect and that he was living in the home and left after the shooting. Authorities said he may have a revolver on him and they consider him armed and dangerous.

Witnesses in the home told investigators they heard arguing and then shots being fired.

Investigators are exploring motives in this case but said there is an indication that this may be domestic related.

Authorities are asking any other witnesses or someone who may know more about this shooting to come forward to Gwinnett County police.
