Bank Robber Caught On Camera Now Caught

He was a very photogenic bank robber. Now, he's locked up.

Roswell Police have arrested 26-year-old Adam Meacham, charging with the February 14 robbery of the Fifth Third Bank branch inside the Kroger at 570 East Rossville Road.

Surveillance video showed Meacham milling about the store, like any other customer, until he approached a bank teller and told her he had a gun and wanted cash.

He then fled the bank on foot.

But the video cameras caught a close-up, clear photo of Meacham, which police distributed widely in the area.  That led to a flood of tips.

"Very good surveillance photos," says Roswell Police Lieutenant James McGee, "and we were able to get a lot of good feedback from the public."

Police were able to determine Meacham's daily routine, set up surveillance at Perimeter Mall and took Meacham into custody without incident.

"We've definitely got him connected to our bank robbery," McGee tells WSB. "We also believe he is the one who did [a] holdup at the Fifth Third Bank in Alpharetta."

Police also believe Meacham is responsible for a bank robbery in Sandy Springs and may be linked to other crimes.

Meacham, who lives at 239 Thompson Street in Alpharetta, is charged with two counts of bank robbery and is being held without bond.

"We're pretty sure he's got a drug problem," says McGee, "and we don't believe he was going to stop robbing the banks."
