ATLANTA — Summer is just getting underway for many metro Atlanta high school students.
The city of Atlanta is putting hundreds of them to work for the YMCA.
On Thursday, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and YMCA of Metro Atlanta partnered on an event to help kick off summer job season.
The intention is to help ensure young people have access to seasonal employment, skills trade certification programs and paid internships, according to a news release.
The YMCA offers a variety of jobs from lifeguards to camp counselors.
For Atlanta youth, ages 14 to 24, interested in the program and learning more about the opportunity to explore career interests and build work-related skills, you are asked to visit https://www.atlyearoftheyouth.com/summer-jobs.
