Atlanta area McDonald’s to donate portion of sales to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House

To celebrate the anniversary of Atlanta’s first Ronald McDonald House, Atlanta area McDonald’s restaurants will donate 20% of their sales to the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m..

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards building a bigger Ronald McDonald House.

“This year marks the 44th anniversary of the opening of Atlanta’s first Ronald McDonald House on March 11,” said Beth Howell, President & CEO of Atlanta RMHC. “We are grateful to have generous support from the local McDonald’s Owner/Operators to help more families feel at home when their hospitalized child receives life-saving medical treatment in Atlanta.”

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities aim to keep families with sick children close to each other and the medical care their child needs. The charity’s programs transform pediatric healthcare experiences for these families through a network of Houses, Family Rooms, Care Mobiles, and community resources. Since 1979, the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities have served more than 72,000 families.
