ATLANTA — Most teenagers with serious illnesses and life-changing disabilities miss important milestones, such as prom.
This is why the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) held a special prom night for both inpatient and outpatient teens who weren’t able to do so on their own.
The special event took place over the weekend at CHOA’s Egleston Hospital.
The theme was ‘Around the World in One Night’, and patients received their own passports that they could stamp throughout the night.
The teens were able to party the night away, take pictures in the photo booth, and share yummy treats and giveaways.
