ATLANTA — Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help to find a critical missing 10-year-old after he ran away from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding.

Police arrived at the hospital at around 4:30 a.m. and spoke to the child’s aunt. She said she was checking her nephew, Mario Boyd, into Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding for medical care before he ran away from the hospital toward Edgewood Avenue.

Boyd was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a photo of his father on the front and lettering that reads, “My Dad’s Angel” on the back.

Police say he was also wearing blue jeans with no shoes.

Police say the investigation remains highly active as they continue to canvass the area.
