ATLANTA — Atlanta police have released a video of a deadly hit-and-run that killed a 28-year-old. Investigators hope the video will help identify the driver.

Ethan McCallister, 28, was killed Saturday morning when he was hit off Piedmont Road and Lindbergh Drive. The driver has not been found.

On Tuesday, investigators released witness dash camera video that showed a gray Grand Cherokee speed away after hitting McCallister.

The video shows the driver almost hit another pedestrian and continuing at fast speeds.

Anyone who recognizes the SUV or knows more information is urged to contact Atlanta police or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477 or on its website.

McCallister is a friend of former Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kim Zolciak-Biermann and daughter Brielle Biermann. Brielle Biermann called McCallister her “best friend” in an Instagram post about his death.

“You are my happiness my joy my light in this very dark world.. the life of the party and the sweetest soul I’ve been blessed to know. You are my best friend. My heart. My everything,” the 24-year-old wrote.

On Tuesday, Brielle sent Channel 2′s Michael Seiden the following statement:

“These last couple of days have been some of the hardest days of my life. Losing Ethan is a pain I never thought I’d ever experience. Ethan truly was one of a kind. Whether you knew him 5 minutes or 5 years he still made an impression, and a beautiful one at that.  He had a smile that would light up the entire room. At this time the most important thing to remember is that there is someone out there who did this to my best friend, living their life, while Ethan can no longer live his. All I want is justice for him, his family, and all his friends who love him dearly. Please if anyone has any information please contact the Atlanta Police Department,” she said.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise money for a memorial for McCallister.
