Over 10 days, a 15-month-old Carrollton boy’s skull was fractured and his jaw, ribs and vertebrae were broken.
Now the toddler is on life support and his parents are accused of abuse, according to the Times-Georgian.
Steven Harry, 32, and Kristin Parmer, 25, are in the Carroll County jail without bond on charges of cruelty to children. More charges are possible, according to the newspaper.
Carroll County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Brad Robinson told the Times-Georgian the child, who is at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, had other injuries consistent with a history of abuse.
A 2-year-old sibling has been placed in the custody of the Division of Family and Children Services. The boy’s mother is eight months pregnant, according to the newspaper.
